We had a great trip to Georgia last weekend for my mom's family's reunion. We also saw my dad's family while we were there, and Marc and I hooked up with my college roommate, Mandy and her family on our way home. It was a whirlwind of a weekend, but tons of fun. Marc and I also got to enjoy the fun of spending 2 nights in a hotel room with 2 boys in pack 'n' plays. What an experience!!

This weekend, pawpaw came to visit, and we took a fun trip to the Earlyworks Museum--a children's history museum. Marc and his dad are installing a new water feature in our front flowerbed right now--I am enjoying the a/c inside!!

We have had such a great summer, and we are excited that we are getting settled into life here in Alabama. Luke is talking in sentences now. His favorites are "I got it", and "I did it". He is so sweet and so fun. Titus is happy and growing, and has chubby little legs that are so cute.

Our Summer

This is just a little glimpse about what we've been doing the past couple of months. We officially moved in May, and now we are settling into a second baby, a new home, new job, etc. It's been fun and really great to be by family. Our beach trip this summer was a little more chaotic with 2 kids, and it started off fun with Ben and Kelli's wedding. We all had a great time with the Roses--we look forward to this so much every year.

We are missing our friends and our church in Louisiana, but we're having fun together and we've already had a lot of visitors!! Jon and Joy came up with their boys for a long weekend over the 4th. Angela and Pedro came down and then Angela came one weekend by herself to babysit--thanks Ang!! Mr. Frank's been here, and we'll see him again soon. This past weekend we had a last minute surprise visit from Mary Rita and Lauren. It's great to have friendships that last through the miles.

Love to everyone and looking forward to the family reunion this weekend,

Love, Marc, Wendi, Luke and Titus

Hey everyone,

Our second little bundle of joy decided to make an early entrance into the world. He arrived April 19, 2010 at 6:30pm. He was 6lbs, 1oz and 18.5 inches long. He is healthy and doing great. He looks so much like Marc; especially Marc's baby pictures.

Thank goodness my mom is here taking care of all of us, and we have had some amazing meals provided by our church friends. Thanks for everyone's prayers during the pregnancy. We are so excited!! I hope you enjoy the blog.

Well, spring finally made it to South Louisiana!! We are having so much fun going to parks, and playing outside. We went to a pick your own strawberry farm and petting zoo today with our good friends Laura and Ian, and we all had a blast. Luke is sleeping very well after that adventure!! He has discovered that he LOVES playing with or in water at any time, so this summer should be loads of fun. I see lots of sprinklers/hoses/pools in my future. We are looking forward to our new arrival later this month or in early May, and we'll keep everyone posted!!

Our Thanksgiving Trip

We hope everyone had as great of a Thanksgiving as we did. We do have so much to be thankful for. Luke is just the happiest, sweetest, cutest little boy ever (of course, I know we're biased). Everything is going well with my pregnancy. I'm 17 weeks along, and we heard the heartbeat this week at my doctor's appointment. I'll have an ultrasound on Dec. 23rd, but we are not going to find out the sex again.

Luke and I are having a great Fall playing with friends and taking advantage of our great parks when the weather is nice.

Have a wonderful week everyone,

Marc, Wendi and Luke

Hey everyone, sorry that it's been just about forever since I posted a blog. We are doing well this fall. Luke turned ONE last month, and you can see from the pictures, he had a great time. He's saying mama dada, uh-oh, bye bye, bark bark, quack quack and something kind of like meow!! He does some really funny things like fake coughing, dancing, and just laughing at himself and playing peek a boo when he doesn't think anyone's watching. He is truly entertaining.

I finally decided it was time to post a blog when Luke took his first steps tonight. He keeps "practicing" now. It's very cute.

As many of you guys may know, I am pregnant. It's wonderful news, and I am finally out of my first trimester. It's been a challenging few months because I have been very nauseated and very tired. If history repeats itself, I should be feeling much better in a couple of weeks.

We hope everyone is doing great this Thanksgiving Season. We are so thankful for each one of you guys and your wonderful love and support.

Love,

Marc, Wendi and Luke

Hey everyone,

I know it's been awhile since I've posted a blog. We've had a busy end of the summer. Angela, Marc's sister, is getting married in just a few weeks and we took a long trip to Kentucky over Labor Day.

Luke is growing so much, and he is such a happy boy. He only wants to feed himself these days, and his eating habits have definitely become pickier. We are starting to plan his first birthday--which I can't believe is right around the corner.

Our next few weeks are very busy, so we should have lots of good pictures.

Don't forget, sometimes you have to click the play button twice before it plays.

Love you guys, Marc, Wendi and Luke

Well, Luke is 10 months old, 18 and a half pounds, and he is on he go!! He is constantly busy and playing. His favorite thing is to pick something up, stand up with it, then drop it on the ground and kick it!! I have to get that on video. Maybe he's a soccer prodigy?

We've had a fun month. We hosted a bridal tea for Angela, and Luke and I flew to grandmamma and grandpa's house while Marc went to a Men's Conference at church. Luke was great on the plane--just busy. He really, really wanted to grab the lady's hair in front of me.

Now we're home and in the middle of another busy week.

If you have trouble viewing this slide show and it takes you to the smilebox website when you click on play, just x out of it, and try again. I don't know why it does that.

We had such a great time at the beach with my family and the Rose Family. This is a long slideshow, but I hope you enjoy it. If anyone wants copies of any of these pictures, please email me and I will send you a copy.

Luke had his 9 month check up this week. He's 17.5 pounds and 28.5 inches long. He is crawling with his belly off of the floor, and he is pulling himself up. He also says "mamamamama" when he wants something. He constantly has Marc and I cracking up!!

Kelli had complained about not seeing herself enough in the blogs, so I hope this satisfies her need for notariety as Aunt Kelli!!

Oh yeah, we also sold Marc's Avalon this week. It was bittersweet to see it go--275,000 miles!!

Fun with family

Last week, my mom came and spent the week with Luke and I while Marc went to kid's camp. We had a great time, and my mom watched Luke while I did some things I don't usually get to do (lunch with a friend, pedicure, etc.) It was so great; thanks mom!! When Marc got home, we left for our family reunion in Dahlonega, Ga. We went though Auburn to visit with Suzanne and her family, and we also stopped for lunch in Atlanta to visit with Mandy and George (somehow we didnt get a picture of that!!). We finally made it to Dahlonega and had dinner with my dad's side of the family. There is a great picture of Luke with my Papa and a couple with Aunt Betty. The next day, we spent with my mom's family at the reunion--lots of fun visiting with family and playing in the pool. Then on Sunday, we began our long journey home (mom went home with dad this time). The drive home took forever, but we finally made it.

Since we came home, Luke has been playing nonstop. He wakes up and plays, he plays after lunch, after his nap, in the bath tub, in the pool, outside, inside, everywere!! He is pulling himself up on things now, but he is very wobbly. He is more and more fun all of the time.

Happy 4th of July to everyone; we are enjoying a long weekend with Marc off of work!! We'll probably hit the pool later today.

Well, Luke is 8 months old today!! It's so amazing. He is sooo close to crawling. He gets up on his hands and knees and rocks. Sometimes he even takes a couple of steps, and then he lays back down and laughs. It's so funny. He smiles all the time, and he has the greatest laugh. I included a couple of laughing videos. I realized that neither Marc or myself are in this blog at all. I'll try to do better next time including the whole family. We're doing quite a bit of traveling over the next month, so we'll have fun seeing everyone along the way. We can't wait to have my mom here for a few days too!!

Well, I had a vet conference in Destin last week, and Marc and Luke came with me. We had a great time. Luke spent time at the beach and in the pool. He did have his first allergic reaction to something...I think it was yogurt. I'm excited about a lot more swimming this summer.

Today has been rough. Luke is teething, and he is very fussy and uncomfortable. He's spent most of the day in my arms. Wish I could make it go away for him!! Hopefully, tonight will be better for both of us.

Our Great Adventures

I'm going to warn you, this is a long one!! We took a fun vacation to Gatlinburg with Marc's family. Luke and I stopped in Huntsville on the way up, and spent a few days with mom and dad.

Luke is 7 months old!! He is doing so many fun things. He has 2 teeth on the bottom now. He is sitting up on his own, and he is playing with lots of his toys. He is almost crawling. He pulls himself around with his arms, and he scoots on his knees, but he doesn't have his belly off the ground yet. He definitely sings with me in the car too. It is so cute.

Sorry, it's been so long since I've posted a blog. I guess this long one will make up for it. I will try to stay on top of it better. We've been busy with traveling, and I worked a lot last week. Luke got a lot of daddy time.

Talk to everyone soon.

Luke is officially 6 months old now!! He has a check up on Wednesday, so I can post his current stats then.

We had Luke's 6 month pictures made last weekend. The Sears in Hammond did a great job. My parents and Kelli and Ben came into town this weekend to see Luke's church dedication. Mr. Frank and Angela were there as well as Marc's brother Gino, Amanda and their 2 boys. We also had some great friends join us.

We made a trip into the city to see Marc at work on our Anniversary and to show Luke off to Marc's coworkers.

I should have some pictures from the dedication to post soon. My dad has those pictures on his camera. I also downloaded a bunch of videos from our video camera that I will try to post soon.

This weekend we went to Mobile to celebrate Jack's 2nd birthday. It was so cute. Erin had their backyard decorated with barnyard animal balloons, masks, cupcakes, etc. We got to hang out with Aunt Gail, and Don. It was good to see Erin and Troy and introduce them to Luke. We also had fun going to the Strawberry Festival in Pontchatoula.

So far Luke has done well with his solid foods. He's eating squash this week. I think I'm going to try carrots next week. Mr. Frank is going to replace the radiator in Marc's car on Friday, so I should be driving my car again soon. I guess we're going to see if Marc can break 300,000 miles in his car.

It looks like my cousin, Mandy, is in labor tonight. Hopefully Ellie will make her way into the world soon.

We are looking forward to Easter, and Luke's 6 month birthday as well as our 3rd anniversary next week. We should have lots of great pictures.

Happy Birthday Grandmama!!

This week has been very exciting. Gino and Amanda had a sweet baby boy, Jacob!! We all went to see them at the hospital last week, and then Luke and I went to see them at home today. He is so sweet. It's hard to believe Luke was that tiny just a few months ago.

This past weekend, Mr. Frank and Angela babysat Luke, so Marc and I could go out for my birthday. My real birthday dinner got scratched since Marc's car died on the Causeway on his way home from work!! It looks like it may just be the radiator, so we're going to replace it (actually, Mr. Frank is).

I worked last Sunday, so Marc and Luke worked in the yard. Marc is moving our azalea bushes to the back yard--thanks to some good advice from Uncle Garry. Unfortunately, we've been battling the rain for time to work in the yard.

Enjoy the slide show, and we love you all!!

Love, Marc, Wendi and Luke
