Luke is officially 6 months old now!! He has a check up on Wednesday, so I can post his current stats then.

We had Luke's 6 month pictures made last weekend. The Sears in Hammond did a great job. My parents and Kelli and Ben came into town this weekend to see Luke's church dedication. Mr. Frank and Angela were there as well as Marc's brother Gino, Amanda and their 2 boys. We also had some great friends join us.

We made a trip into the city to see Marc at work on our Anniversary and to show Luke off to Marc's coworkers.

I should have some pictures from the dedication to post soon. My dad has those pictures on his camera. I also downloaded a bunch of videos from our video camera that I will try to post soon.

Love,

Wendi, Marc and Luke

This weekend we went to Mobile to celebrate Jack's 2nd birthday. It was so cute. Erin had their backyard decorated with barnyard animal balloons, masks, cupcakes, etc. We got to hang out with Aunt Gail, and Don. It was good to see Erin and Troy and introduce them to Luke. We also had fun going to the Strawberry Festival in Pontchatoula.

So far Luke has done well with his solid foods. He's eating squash this week. I think I'm going to try carrots next week. Mr. Frank is going to replace the radiator in Marc's car on Friday, so I should be driving my car again soon. I guess we're going to see if Marc can break 300,000 miles in his car.

It looks like my cousin, Mandy, is in labor tonight. Hopefully Ellie will make her way into the world soon.

We are looking forward to Easter, and Luke's 6 month birthday as well as our 3rd anniversary next week. We should have lots of great pictures.

Love, Wendi Marc and Luke

Happy Birthday Grandmama!!

This week has been very exciting. Gino and Amanda had a sweet baby boy, Jacob!! We all went to see them at the hospital last week, and then Luke and I went to see them at home today. He is so sweet. It's hard to believe Luke was that tiny just a few months ago.

This past weekend, Mr. Frank and Angela babysat Luke, so Marc and I could go out for my birthday. My real birthday dinner got scratched since Marc's car died on the Causeway on his way home from work!! It looks like it may just be the radiator, so we're going to replace it (actually, Mr. Frank is).

I worked last Sunday, so Marc and Luke worked in the yard. Marc is moving our azalea bushes to the back yard--thanks to some good advice from Uncle Garry. Unfortunately, we've been battling the rain for time to work in the yard.

Enjoy the slide show, and we love you all!!

Enjoy the slide show. There is a little video of Luke eating cereal at the end. I held out as long as I could, but Luke was waking up every night hungry, so we fed him cereal. We did it for the first time while we were in Alabama. He was so cute. He opened his mouth to get the spoon in and everything. Now that we're home, he's using his high chair. He is so adorable sitting in the chair. Oh yeah, Luke has been sleeping all night again. Hip, hip, hooray!!

We had a great trip to Alabama. Luke loves my dad!! (and vice versa) He just smiled and laughed whenever he saw him. (Luke and my dad). I didn't even get a picture of my mom with Luke on this trip --sorry mom!! I didn't realize it until I was putting this slide show together. Aunt Barbara came by to see Luke, and so did Pat and Paul Smith who were in town for the weekend along with Bart and Paige.

We stopped in to see Gino, Amanda, and Sam on our way home. Amanda is just about to have her baby!! In fact, there may be another Tumminello cousin as early as tonight.

Love you all,

Wendi, Marc and Luke

A new first

You will never believe what was in our mailbox today!! Okay, maybe you will...

Luke had junk mail. He had an offer from Verizon to buy a blackberry and get another one free!! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Luke needs a cell phone quite yet. Marc says he'll have to get a job first. Hahaha!

Mommy's big boy!!

Well, Luke rolled over all by himself this week. He did it several times on Monday and Wednesday, and today he did it pretty fasty. He's exploring some of his toys now too. We bought an area rug for the den that's easy to roll up and store in the corner when the dogs (read: the big dogs) are inside. I layed it down on the floor and put a blanket on it. Luke quickly moved off the blanket and Abigail helped herself. You can really see how he's filling up his carseat now.
I went to a consignment sale this week and bought a little, lightweight stroller, and some clothes. It was really fun. We've been going to the park once a week with my friend Laura and her little boy, Ian. We have fun watching Ian play (he's 15 months old), and then we walk on the Trace. I've found that I can get a pretty good workout if I strap him into his carrier and walk (an added 15#!!). I took him to work with me on Wednesday evening and did some office work. He did really well playing on a blanket beside me. He let me work about 2 hours. He's a very good boy. We also had lunch with Marc's cousin, Mindy, this week. That was fun. She is going to help me plan Angela's wedding shower.

Sorry it's been so long since I posted a blog. I hope y'all enjoy this show. Luke is becoming more and more able to actually play with his toys. He can grab things very well, and he likes to talk to things. We've had some great weather down here, so Luke and I have been going to the park. Marc went with us on Mardi Gras day because he was off work. Next week we're going to a huge kids consignment sale in downtown Covington. I hope we find some great stuff.

Love you guys,

Wow, 4 months old!! Luke went for his 4 month wellness check on Monday. He is 13# 8.5oz and 24.5 inches long. His pediatrician says he's doing great. He was given the go ahead to play with his friend Josiah again!! Josiah has been sick, so we've had to stay away.

Luke is getting big. We removed the pad at the bottom of his carseat because his feet were hitting it. He has good neck control, so he can spend more time in his bumbo seat, and he can play in his activity center now. He has also found his voice. He talks so much. His favorite words are "ah-goo" and "baaaah". Sometimes, he says them quietly, and sometimes he says them very loudly right in my face. It makes me laugh. He imitates me when I stick out my tongue and squish up my nose. He also imitates me when I breathe in really loudly. He's been sleeping 12 hours at night the past 2 nights, and I've been putting the dogs in the garage at night so they don't wake me or Luke up at 5am wanting to go outside. Abigail had gotten in a bad habit of whining at 5am!!

I am working on Thursday night this week and Saturday during the day for 14 hours!! Marc is getting ready for some bonding time with Luke.

We had a great trip to Huntsville last weekend and celebrated my dad's birthday. We got to see lots of family, and we all went out to dinner one night. Luke was very taken with my dad. He watched him wherever he went, and he just laughed and laughed when my dad whistled at him. Luke did very well traveling, and slept well at mom and dad's house.

I can't believe Luke will be 4 months old this Sunday. He's growing and growing. We have a doctor's check up next Monday, so I'll be able to post some official stats then. Luke has been going to Bible Study with me on Mondays. He just watches and takes everything in. We've been going on walks on the trace and hanging out with friends. We've missed seeing Joy, Joseph and Josiah the past couple of weeks because they've been sick. I hope you all enjoy the slide show.

Love,

Wendi and Luke

7,7,7

Okay, this is funny. I was reading Mandy's blog and she challenged me to look in our picture folder at the 7th folder and then the 7th picture in that folder. This is it. It's obviously from our wedding April 15, 2006. It's actually one where my hair is blowing everywhere (it was very windy that day, and some of our pictures are crazy). I think I'm supposed to challenge 7 other people to do this too, so mom, kelli, kristy, elizabeth, laura, suzanne, and erin, you are it!!

Don't worry, there will be lots of new pictures of Luke next week.

Creating new habits

I realized today that I didn't do a very good job last week of taking pictures. Thank goodness Angela came to the rescue. She brought us some very cute pictures of the Kentucky Tumminello's visit. The picture on the left is Riley, Tate and Luke sitting in an oversized chair at pawpaw's house. The one on the right is Riley and Luke. It looks like a couple of very tiny old men laughing and talking. I just love these pictures.
Angela came to visit Luke on Sunday this weekend, and Uncle Garry came over with Sabrina, Papaw's dog, on Saturday. There are a lot of colds, etc., going around so we played it very low key this weekend. We didn't even go to Super Bowl party because we didn't want to expose Luke to anything. I did take him to a mommy's Bible Study in Hammond this morning. He was very good and seemed to pay attention!! He looks at whoever is talking, and acts like he's following along. He is very advanced I think!!
Today, I am getting Luke used to taking naps somewhere else besides his swing or pack 'n' play. Right now, he is laying on a play mat in my bedroom floor. He only cried about 15 minutes (loudly for 10) until he fell asleep. It's so hard to let him cry and not pick him up, but I've been told that it takes 3 days to create a good habit, so if I can endure for 3 days, then he'll be better for it!!
We are going to mom and dad's house this coming weekend. We'll be travelling at night so Luke can sleep most of the way. I think he will do well. I'm more concerned about how well he will sleep while we are there. He's been sleeping 10-11 hours most every night. I wonder if he will do that in a different place?
Love you all,
Marc, Wendi, and Baby Luke

We had a fun week last week. Josiah came over for a few hours, and I got carried away with the camera--as always. Luke also got to see Angela and Mr. Frank on Saturday night. Today, we went to the park and then took a walk with Laura and her little boy Ian. I hope you enjoy the slide show. I think I may have gotten a little carried away with the narrration, but I can't help it. They are so cute.

Grandmama and Aunt Kelli

As you guys can see from the slide show I posted earlier this week, my mom and sister came down to see Luke this past weekend. We had a great time just hanging out with Luke. He was all smiles and talking to his grandmama and Aunt Kelli. We took him to get his professional 3 month pictures done on Saturday. I don't think he smiled a single time for the camera, but he was still looking cute. We get to see the finished product this coming Saturday. I can't believe he's 3 months old!!

He is putting his hands and blankets, toys, etc. into his mouth these days. He's talking a lot. He loves his daddy. Whenever Marc comes home, he just smiles and talks to him. He hardly pays me any attention when Marc is holding him. He did find his feet the other day too. I had him in his swing, and when I looked over he was holding both of his feet and talking to them. He hasn't done it again since then, but he is grabbing at his legs a lot.

Luke is a great baby. We are having so much fun with him. Can't wait to see everyone in Huntsville again in a couple of weeks.

This week, we had fun playing at the park with some friends. The weather here has been gorgeous. Luke is becoming very interactive. He is smiling and "talking" to himself in the mirror on his swing, and he is talking to us a lot too. He seems to be recognizing Marc now, which is fun for him.

We are having his first set of professional photos taken next week when mom and Kelli are in town. We went shopping for a picture taking outfit yesterday. He is going to be very cute. I can't believe that he will be 3 months old this week!!

I am officially starting back to work in February, but I am only going to work 2 nights a month for awhile. I enjoy being a mom very much.

Enjoy the slide show,

Wendi

What a great week!! We spent the week with Marc's family over New Years. Ricco and Tracy came down with their kids from Kentucky. They have 4 kids, and Baby Riley is 3 weeks younger than Luke. Riley is a very sweet boy. It only took him a couple of days to get on a good schedule down here in Louisiana.

Riley is so cute. He weighs 2.5 pounds more than Luke. He is a real butterball--or a real meatball if you're Italian!! We went to the Alligator Farm in Abita Springs one day with all of the kids. Marc unfortunately had to work that day. We did have a wonderful New Year's Eve at Janie's house. Luke stayed awake until midnight on his first New Year's.

On New Year's Day we all went to Gino, Amanda, and Sam's house (The Mississippi Tumminello's). Gino converted all of their old VHS tapes to DVD's and gave us all copies. It's funny to see Marc as a kid and a teenager. We also got a DVD of Marc's parents' wedding that they had copied from a reel. That was very cool. We also got to spend time with Papaw, Uncle Garry, Aunt Gail, and Don. Luke really likes Don.

We all had dinner together again on Friday night, and then the Kentucky group spent the night at our house. We spent Saturday shopping in Covington in the rain.

We miss them already; enjoy the pictures!!

Luke had a great 10th week of life!! He is still sleeping through the night, and he loves to get out of the house and shop--just like his mom and dad.

This past weekend, we had fun with some of our friends. Rhonda and Will have a 5 month old little girl named Madeline. Shannon and Ryan are 26 weeks pregnant; they were in town from Mobile. Our wonderful single friend, Mary Rita came over too. We had fun playing with Luke and Madeline and catching up.

We took Luke shopping the day after Christmas. He is so funny watching people.

Marc's good friend, Jordan, moved to North Carolina, so he came by to tell us good bye and to see Luke. We also had dinner with the Earharts on Saturday night.

Marc's brother Ricco and his family (Tracy, Lydia, Chloe, Tate and Baby Riley) are in town from Kentucky. We saw them last night. I will post some cute pictures of Luke with his Tumminello cousins soon. Tomorrow, we are going to the alligator farm, and then we have lots of fun planned for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. I will have lots of pictures to post at the end of the week.

Happy New Year,

Wendi, Marc, and Luke

Luke has a story to tell from this weekend. Play the slideshow to read his story.

We did buy some very cute sunglasses for him this weekend. Marc and I laughed so hard we cried when he had them on. We will take some pictures of that soon and post them.

Luke had a check up last week. He was 10# and 11 oz. 22.5 inches. He just keeps on growing!! He has been sleeping through the night for the past week. It is so wonderful. His personality just keeps on coming out too. He is smiling and sticking his tongue out at us when we're talking to him. It makes him laugh when we stick our tongue back out at him.

We miss everyone,

We had a great time in Huntsville over Thanksgiving. Luke and I stayed there for an extra week while Marc came home and did some wonderful projects around the house. We all met up in Mississippi the next weekend so Luke and I could come home. We were able to see mom and dad and Kelli and Ben, and it was so wonderful. Luke was held almost constantly!! It did take us a few days to adjust once we got back home. We were very glad to see Marc; we missed him that week.

Enjoy the pictures; I will post some snow pictures soon. Yes, it snowed about 5 inches at our house in South Louisiana last Thursday. It was crazy.
